Deus ex machina is the tool of a lazy creator. Don't ask the audience to care about choices and consequences only to make both irrelevant.

I am defined by an innate curiosity. I'm a hopeless romantic; insomuch as I romanticize my life. I'm equally comfortable in a suit or hiking boots, and a former marine biologist that gets debilitating seasickness. I try to live with a sense of purpose (whether real, manufactured, or romanticized).

Most importantly, I sincerely hope this project is a catastrophic failure. I'm disappointed that you're reading this.
